this book
Have you ever bought a book hoping that it would change your life? Have you ever listened to a podcast hoping it would give your mind more clarity?Have you ever been to a seminar/talk and expected that at the end of it, a more confident, more successful, happier you would miraculously just show up? Are you someone who subscribes to daily motivational quotes or videos and forwards them to everyone you know, but never really applies them to yourself?
Have you ever chased a goal, achieved it, felt good for 5 minutes and then wondered, “Is this all there is?’ Have you ever achieved your goals, hoping it would make you cooler or you would get more respect or someone you care about would recognise or appreciate you with“well done or ‘I’m proud of you”?
If so, I don’t blame you. I don’t judge you. I’ve done all of the above. Like you, I was trying to be an “Achiever”, hoping success would make me happy. Like you, I was probably hoping someone else or something else could motivate me.
